model railway plan seems to survive from plan 1 to a finished layout, at least mine definitely do not. I
have lost track as to how may variations I have come up with since I
have a defined space. In December (2011) I became the very fortunate
owner of the NMRA's SLD division's switching module, which once again changed what I thought was a finished plan. A basic plan of it
can be seen above. In essence it is a version of John Allen's "Time
Saver" switching puzzle. That said the opportunity to own this fantastic
module and incorporate it into my home layout was too good an
opportunity to pass up. I am pleased to say it is now happily
incorporated (see the "layout" for a room view.) Please see the photos
below, taken before I acquired it. Not only will this be a record of the
previous life of the module, but can be used as a reference as I update
the scenery and make a few changes. |
